The Dice Investigation
Fri, Jun 6th, 2025
In Mathematics we have been collecting data and investigating chance. We investigated that if you roll two dice and combine the numbers to find the total, some numbers were more likely to come up then others. 6, 7 and 8 were the most likely totals, 2 and 11 were the least likely totals and 1 and 13 were impossible. Check out the graph that the students helped co construct.
Welcome to Weeks 7 & 8. Please note that due to the Athletics Carnival on Friday of Week 7, there will be no assembly or awards that week. On the Friday of the Athletics Carnival students can wear their house colours to school as well as their running shoes. The weather is tipped to be quite cold on that day so it would be best to pack a jumper for in between events. Treats will be available for purchase on the day but with a big day of exercise we will be encouraging students to eat something substantial in our down periods of the day.
Advanced notice for Monday of Week 10. We will be inviting our Year 1 Grandparents in for an afternoon of old fashioned games. Stay tuned for more information on this.
