Thank you, Mr Phelps!
Fri, May 10th, 2024
Today we celebrated Mr Phelps and all he has done for the Year 2 class this year. We have greatly appreciated his calm and steady presence in our classroom and look forward to seeing him around the school in his many, varied roles at St James!
This week, we excitedly welcome Mr Keating to Year 2. The students are looking forward to showing Mr Keating how the Year 2 class learn, play and grow together.
We will also embark on our Oral Language project for Term 2. Over the next few weeks, during our pastoral care groups, students will be given the opportunity to share an element of their history, orally with the class. This may include students bringing in an artefact (object/s) from home to prompt their storytelling. The students may want to share the origins of their family, an important event that has shaped them or a family custom or tradition with their classmates. We cannot wait to learn more about our students and families in upcoming weeks and we appreciate your support with the task. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
In Week 3, students will continue to reconnect with their peers and teachers and maintain a high standard of school attendance.
