Welcome to our Final Blog
Fri, Dec 5th, 2025
Dear Families,
Thank you for your unwavering partnership and support throughout the year. It has meant so much to our Year 2 team. Your encouragement at home has helped your children grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy. We are truly grateful for the trust you place in us and for the wonderful community we share.
Semester 2 report cards are in their final stage of alteration. It has been a satisfying process reflecting on the past 12 months of learning as we work together to write these reports. There is so much to celebrate with this group of students and you guys should be so proud of your children.
Our final Year 2 liturgy was again a highlight of the term. Year 2 has been learning about the beauty of creation and how we can best care for this place that we are lucky enough to call our home. Please see attached photos of our liturgy.
The students have been participating beautifully in the first week of our swimming program. Each day the children swim in small ability level groups practising different strokes and also water safety techniques. Keep up the great work kids. We have a small number of Year 2 students attending the swimming carnival next week where they will race against the Year 3 students. Good luck to the children who will attend their first swimming carnival.
And finally... Merry Christmas to all of our beautiful families. To those travelling afar, please stay safe and have a fabulous time as you travel the world. To those staying here in paradise, we hope that this time is filled with love and joy. Thank you all for a fantastic year!
Welcome to week 9
Advent has begun! A special time when Catholics and other Christians enter into hopeful anticipation and joyful preparation for the celebration of Christmas. I time of great joy and excitement for so many families; yet on the flip side a time that can be quite tough for others. Please find the information below for how to support our 2026 Christmas appeal.
Stage 1 - Christmas Appeal - This year, we are helping St Vincent de Paul by collecting gifts for a particular family in need. We welcome gifts and Christmas goodies for a 12 yr old boy and two girls aged 7 and 3. Please see the flyer in the parent resources. Please do not wrap the gifts. Thank you for being so supportive.
This week we will continue our swimming program at the Laurie Lawrence Swim School. Swimming days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Thank you so much to all of the volunteers that have supported supervising the children to safely walk to the pool and whilst they swim in their lessons. We have got such a great community here in Year 2. Please make sure your child has their swimmers, rash shirt, thongs and a towel each day.
