Happy Mother's Day to all our very special Mums in our lives, we are blessed to have you and we are so thankful for you. We appreciate all the love, guidance and care you show our cherubs each and every day! It was lovely to see so many of you at our Mother's Day breakfast on Friday. Thank you to our Dads for helping on the BBQ, we really do have the best parents here at St James! This coming Saturday 10th May @ 6pm, we have a Mother's Day mass to give thanks for our mothers, please see flyer attached.
Coming up in Week 3, we have a busy week ahead. On Thursday, we have Fr Michael's final mass with us a St James Community. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend, so please accept this event on Compass to ensure your child's attendance. Let's make this last mass special for Fr Michael who has given 20 years of service to our community. Please see attached flyer in the parental resources. On Friday, we have our Walk Safely to School day, please see attached flyer for more information.
During writing lessons, we are learning how to note take and write information into sentences that form paragraphs. Inspired by our text Sophie Scott Goes South, we are learning about penguins and icebergs. You can support our learning by reading further about Antartica, the Aurora Australis and icebergs.
Please ensure Homework folders are returned on Thursdays, so that we can mark and give out new homework on Fridays. Students are responsible for organising new readers and Homework sheets, with support from their Pastoral Care teacher.
