A huge thank you to all the dads, grandfathers, and special father figures who joined us for our Father’s Day breakfast. It was a fantastic morning spent celebrating the invaluable role you play in your children's lives. Your presence made the event truly special for our whole school community.
In literacy, students have been putting the finishing touches on their free verse poetry. They have been pushing their writing limits by experimenting with punctuation, using hyphenation and parentheses to build rhythm, add nuance, and guide the reader's pace. Watching them apply these complex structural tools with flair has been a true highlight!
We are thrilled to welcome Tenika, our pre-service teacher, who will be working alongside us in the classroom for the next six weeks. The students have already given her a warm welcome, and we look forward to the fresh energy and ideas she will bring to our learning space.
Looking Ahead: Gala Day Thrills & High Standards
As we head into the next fortnight, we have an exciting mix of inter-school sports competition and a focus on maintaining our school pride as the term draws to a close.
Gala Day Excitement A massive good luck to all of our Year 6 students competing in the upcoming Gala Days across soccer, netball, rugby league, and league tag! They have been working hard to prepare, and we know they will represent St James with fantastic sportsmanship, determination, and team spirit. Show them what Year 6 is made of!
Term 3 Home Stretch & Uniform Reminder It is hard to believe we are already nearing the end of Term 3—wow, time has flown! As the finish line approaches, we kindly ask for your support in maintaining consistency with school uniforms. We are encouraging our senior students to take pride in their presentation right up until the final bell of the term.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and let's make these final weeks of Term 3 fantastic!
School Spectacular: We are asking for students in the school spectacular to please wear: Girls - glamorous pop divas. Boys - dark grunge style clothing
Local Community Police Project. We have been gifted two surfboards to decorate as part of a local community art exhibition. If you are able to help with donations of shells, please deliver these to the school office.
Join us at St Joseph’s church this Sunday to celebrate Fr. Michael’s Jubilee. Please refer to the flyer in the parent resource tab for more information.
