Lots Happening In Year 3

There has been lots happening in Year 3 this fortnight. We had a Liturgy which was amazing. So many parents and grandparents turned out and the students did a great job in delivering their readings. Thanks again to all of those involved. We also did some presenting. The students worked in pairs to deliver their research on different wildlife conservation areas in Australia. ALL students presented and we couldn't be more proud of everyone. The students have also been busy in science. They have been exploring how products are made and how this has changed over time. They have been in the design process of developing a chair. We look forward to seeing these designs take shape. Please have a read of the following message from Mr Holmes and Mrs Clarke in science:

We are exploring materials and their properties, as well as planning a prototype in Year 3 Science. The students have hopefully had a chat with you about the task. They are invited to bring in items from home that will assist with their design.
We are learning to test materials to discover which materials are strongest and most stable for building, and then use this knowledge to build a strong and stable chair for a toy.
