A 'Thriller' of an Excursion

Our highly anticipated trip to MJ the Musical was a phenomenal success! The students were absolutely mesmerised by the world-class choreography and music. It’s fair to say the performance was a total Thriller…

We were also able to visit the South Bank playground. As always, our Year 6 students were exceptionally well-behaved, representing our school with outstanding manners and maturity. You make these big days out an absolute breeze and a total joy for the teachers!

Maths: Exploring the Micro-World of Numbers
Back in the classroom, we’ve been putting our thinking caps on to deepen our understanding of place value. Over the last fortnight, we have been zooming past the decimal point to explore numbers all the way down to the thousandths column.

The students have been working hard on:

Visualising just how tiny a thousandth is.
Mastering the reading, writing, and ordering of complex decimals.
Deepening their overall number sense.
Well done on another brilliant fortnight, Year 6. Keep up the spectacular effort!
