Conferences, Homework and Buddies!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Thank you to all the families who attended our recent parent-teacher conferences.  Your time, support and partnership play a vital role in your child’s growth. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to celebrate progress, discuss goals and strengthen the home-school connection.  Working together, we can ensure a positive and productive school year for every student.  Thank you for being such an important part of our school community!

Homework

Thank you to all of our families for encouraging and supporting homework completion. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference in reinforcing classroom learning. 

Students can practise their spelling words each night in a variety of ways (listed in the cover page in their homework book). 

Please continue to read the home reader each night with your child. These readers also help consolidate recently learned sounds and tricky words whilst helping build fluency.

Year 5 Buddies

Year 1 has been lucky enough to meet their new Year 5 buddies. They have all been very excited getting to know each other and making new friendships. The Year 5s have been great role models. It is important for Year 1 to remember that they can go say hello or ask for help from their buddies; however, it is strongly encouraged that they do not play with each other. This is to support both the Year 1 and Year 5 students.
