Writing in Year 5

We have had a very positive and settled start to the school year. The students are to be commended on the confident and responsible way they have transitioned into Year 5.

In English and Mathematics, we will be spending time familiarising students with the format and layout of NAPLAN on their iPads. Our goal is to ensure students feel comfortable and confident navigating the online platform, so that it feels like a regular iPad learning activity rather than a formal test experience. NAPLAN begins in Week 7.

We have included a link to the NAPLAN demonstration site, which provides sample questions and allows students to explore what the platform looks like and the features it includes. We encourage you to spend some time with your child working through the demonstration site together. By working in partnership, we can help ensure students feel as comfortable and confident as possible about NAPLAN.

The school has provided each student with their own set of earphones to support this process.
