Welcome to Week 5

Congratulations everyone, on the fantastic way you completed your English and Mathematics assessments this week! You showed great focus, effort, and persistence, and you should all feel very proud of your hard work. For those students who are still yet to finish their assessments due to absences, you will be completing these in the coming days. Good luck. 

Next week in Maths, Year 2 will continue our unit on measurement where we have been using formal and informal units to measure length, area and volume. Please see the photos of the students learning in action. 

In English we are continuing our work in “Character Development” and using these skills to write metaphors and complex sentences. This is something you could talk to your children about at home to test how much they are retaining outside of the school environment. Many of the children will be happy to share their learning. 

On a more exciting note Year 2 will have their annual camp day where we will visit SeaWorld’s fun and exciting animal attractions, watch their shows and of course, Mr Keating's favourite part we finish the day with a pizza party. Please make sure you read the ‘what to bring’ section on Compass. 

As we said last fortnight, every day counts so let’s strive for our best attendance record throughout Term 4.
