Can you feel the buzz in the air? The countdown is officially on, and we are getting so excited for camp!
This is one of the highlights of our school year and a fantastic opportunity for our students to challenge themselves, build amazing friendships, learn new skills, and make memories that will last a lifetime. We've got a brilliant program of activities lined up, and the teaching team is just as excited as the kids are!
Gearing Up: The Packing List
Let the packing games begin! To help you and your child get organised, the official packing list is now available.
Where to find it: The full list is on Compass for you to access anytime. We've prepped the kids by fully unpacked the entire list with the students in class and sent a physical copy home with them on Thursday, October 23rd. Hopefully, this means they can take the lead on packing their own bags (with a little supervision, of course!). Pro-tip: Please, please label everything. You'd be amazed at the mountain of lost property a sock or a stray towel can create! Please also note that no electronic devices are allowed on the camp to ensure the privacy and safety of all students.
Health & Safety: A Note on Medication
To ensure the health and safety of every student, we have a very clear and strict process for all medications on camp. If your child requires any medication; this includes prescription meds, as-needed Panadol/paracetamol, travel sickness tablets, antihistamines, or melatonin, please follow these steps:
1. Labelled Packaging: All medication must be in its original container with a personal pharmaceutical label (the sticker from the chemist with your child's name and dosage).
2. Consent & Instructions: We require written instructions and consent for administering all medications. Please complete the digital form here
3. Handover: Please do not pack medication in your child's luggage or give it to them to bring. All medications must be handed directly to a staff member by an adult. You can start dropping labelled medications (with the digital form completed) to the front office or your child's teacher starting from Week 4. Alternatively, you can hand it directly to your designated teacher on the morning of camp.
And finally; We're a Team!
We want camp to be a massive success for every student. You know your child best. If there is anything you think we should know to help your child thrive whether it's a tendency to get homesick, , anxieties about an activity, or even if they're a secret sleepwalker! Please let us know. A quick email or chat with your child's teacher can make all the difference. We are here to support you and ensure your child has the best possible experience.
Get packing, get excited, and get ready for an amazing adventure. We can't wait!
