It was a great start to Term 4 and apart from the windy days, the weather has started beautifully also.
Always high on the excitement list is our annual Mission Fair! The Year 6 students and the staff involved once again put on a fantastic day of fun and games for the school community. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this day a success. There wasn’t a mopey face in the school last Friday and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a lolly-less pocket in the school either. Plenty of smiles and plenty of sweets. Thank you so much to all of the families who supported the Mission Fair by giving your children money to participate. Without your support we wouldn’t have been able to set a new Mission Fair fundraising record this year. There was over $2100 raised!! And that is certainly something to celebrate.
Throughout the past week workers from the AFL have been running short skills and games sessions for the children of St James. Our Year 2 class participated yesterday afternoon. There was lots of excitement and joy experienced whilst participating in these games. The AFL team are running Aussie Rules programmes throughout Term 4. Please see the parent resources section if your child is interested in signing up to participate in the programs outside of school time. All the information you need is on the flyers.
