Reconciliation Week

In Week 5 we were privileged to have Mr. Stubbs, our school's proud Aboriginal Education Worker, hold a discussion with our students on a range of topics relating to Aboriginal culture. We talked about the difference between an acknowledgement of country and a welcome to country, what the term 'country' means to Aboriginal culture, and the importance of keeping indigenous language, artworks and symbols alive. All students were highly engaged for the entirety of Mr. Stubbs' visit, with an abundance of questions being asked as the conversation went deeper and deeper.
