Week 3
This week, we had the special opportunity to attend an excursion to St Joseph's Church to celebrate Father Michael’s final Mass. Year 5 represented our school beautifully showing reverence, respect, and kindness throughout the experience. Father Michael was deeply moved by the farewell and expressed his heartfelt thanks to the students of St James. We wish him all the very best as he begins his retirement after many years of dedicated service to the parish and school community.
Week 4
In Week 4, our class took part in a Global Café activity where students reflective on learning experience where students moved around the room responding to different questions about how we’re going as a grade and as individuals and having a small snack too.
This process encouraged thoughtful conversation, active listening and honest self-reflection. Activities like these help strengthen our classroom community and give students the chance to recognise their personal growth and set goals for the term ahead.
